What is Microsoft Frontpage?
Microsoft Frontpage is a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) web page design program that runs on Windows. The last version was FrontPage 2003. Sites designed with FrontPage require the FrontPage extensions to be supported on the web server. The latest versions of IIS will not support FrontPage and this requires you to use a previous version of IIS. The newest Windows Server that will suppor the FrontPage extensions is Windows 2008. While this is an old and no longer updated product there are many websites designed in Frontpage that are still updated and maintained today using FrontPage.
FPToday was InfoQuest Technologies first web hosting offering and specialized in web hosting for Microsoft FrontPage.
InfoQuest was Pennsylvania's FIRST Microsoft approved FrontPage 98 Web Presence Provider. Today we have many customers still using FrontPage to design and update their websites.
Microsoft released Microsoft Expression Web after they stopped updating FrontPage. They haven't been devleoping it further. The most recent version can be downloaded for free. Microsoft Expression Web 4 download
